Self-host photos and phone auto-backup to get off iCloud and Google Photos. Immich gives mobile auto-upload, face and object recognition, shared albums, and timeline browsing, all local.

Fits the fleet: new bootc image (itg-prd-immich) following the arr/book pattern. Stack is the Immich server plus Postgres and Redis, plus the machine-learning container. The ML side leans on a GPU, so decide whether it shares the RTX with Plex or runs CPU-only. Library on NFS or a local data disk; can use an internal S3 (Garage/MinIO) as the object store if we stand one up.

Behind SWAG, LAN-only or reachable over Tailscale for the mobile app.
